Making accessing technical support easier - 24/7

In November 2011, Analox Sensor Technology launched a 24 hour support service for Dive Support Vessels (DSV). Now the company is making it more accessible by printing the support telephone number on all product serial number labels and in all manuals.

Simon Lunt, Sales Manager for Analox Sensor Technology, commented: “We understand that during critical diving operations, an equipment fault means valuable time is lost and that has cost implications. It’s important to us that our customers know they can access support direct from Analox at any time. The contact number is now on each product and in each manual, so it is easy to find when it is needed.”

The DSV product support line is available by calling +44(0) 7917 764348*. A dedicated team will endeavour to assist with technical problems over the phone. If necessary the query will be progressed by Analox the following day to allow access to all relevant materials. Analox also has a pool of spares available on a sale or return basis to ensure its clients can remain operative.

Other support services provided by Analox include instant online support during office hours (8.30am to 5pm GMT) via the Analox website, www.analox.net/comm_dive_tech_support.php . It also has a full range of information videos are available through the AnaloxSensorTech YouTube channel, youtube.com/user/AnaloxSensorTech. These include information on dealing with faults and sensor changes. Many components are available to buy allowing maintenance of many units onsite, and all product manuals are available through the website, www.analox.net. Please note that repair work which takes place outside of Analox Sensor Technology may invalidate any current warranty.
If a client would prefer to return the equipment to Analox for service, then they are welcome to do so. In these instances, the client will be provided with recertification and an additional three months warranty.

Analox Sensor Technology has recently launched the SDA series of fixed analysers for the commercial diving industry which gives users the latest digital technology in gas detection. The SDA series flags up when calibration or sensor changes are necessary, helping users plan their maintenance schedule.

Analox Sensor Technology is offering visitors to Underwater Intervention 2012 an introduction to the Hypergas MkII Training Course.

Simon Lunt of Analox Sensor Technology will give an overview of the course, operated by LBJ Maritime, which is recommended for all existing and new users of the Hypergas MkII Diving Bell Hydrocarbon Analyser to ensure personnel can install, operate and maintain the unit correctly.

Analox Sensor Technology launched the course with official US training partner, Larry Janicek of LBJ Maritime, in 2011. Standard courses operate four times each year at LBJ’s training centre at Lake Charles, Louisiana. LBJ Maritime is also able to offer bespoke training to match specific company requirements.

Simon commented: “This is an ideal opportunity to find out more about the benefits these training courses offer, as well as an opportunity to bring forward any queries you might have. We will use this time to give insight into the value of the training, whilst the courses themselves guarantee hands-on experience of working with the Analox Hypergas MkII designed especially for monitoring of hydrocarbons in the diving bell.”

Simon Lunt will give a 30 minute presentation on Wednesday January 25th, at 4.30pm in Room 221. Underwater Intervention 2012 takes place at Ernest N Morial Convention Centre, New Orleans from January 24th to 26th, 2012.

Extended shelf life for Hyper-Gas MkII manifold

From 1st January, 2012, Analox Sensor Technology will offer an extended shelf life of 18 months for its Hyper-Gas MkII manifold.

This development will enable distributors to maintain stock levels and allow commercial diving operations to hold a spare in stock more easily, reducing any potential delays to operations.

The shelf life of the Hyper-Gas MkII manifold will be extended from 12 months to 18 months. Manifolds continue to require servicing every six months from date of first use, however this operating timescale is not compromised if the manifold is stored for a year from purchase before it is installed.

The Hyper-Gas MkII manifold is essential to the operation of the Hyper-Gas MkII Hydrocarbon analyser, which is designed to warn commercial diving operators of potentially fatal anaesthetic levels of hydrocarbons in the diving bell.

Simon Lunt, sales manager for Analox Sensor Technology, commented: “It is essential that commercial diving operations are able to maintain their schedules, and that support equipment requiring recalibration does not cause delays. By extending the shelf life for the Hyper-Gas MkII manifold, it will now be much easier for operators to have a spare manifold in store enabling smoother operations and fewer delays. Distributors will also benefit by being able to maintain stock in store longer, again reducing delays for operators.”

From 1st January, 2012, the Hyper-Gas MkII manifold calibration will be guaranteed for 18 months from factory despatch or from six months from the date of first use, whichever is sooner. To help the user keep track of the calibration period, the manifold is electronically tagged with the date of calibration expiry and will also record the date of its first use. These dates are read out of the manifold each time the unit is switched on. Should calibration of the manifold be due, a buzzer will sound and the message ‘Calibrate’ will scroll across the display during the power on self-test sequence.

The festive fun officially starts on Thursday, 1st December with Analox’s ‘12 Dives of Christmas’ giving you 12 chances to be a winner.

And who could resist the temptation? You’ll soon be tickling snorkelling reindeer, catching diving penguins or stopping Santa getting burned when he drops down a ‘lit’ chimney!

And make sure you share the link with all your colleagues or there will definitely be some raised eyebrows on December 9th when you’re playing ‘Matching Trumps’ – yes, that’s matching Santa’s trouser trumps which you really can’t play with the sound off!

Each day, for the first 12 days of December 2011, Analox is launching a new festive game which can be played online anywhere in the world but only for 24 hours! Play as many times as you like to push your score up, and share the link with your friends so that they can join the fun. At the end of each day, the name at the top of the Leader Board, that is the person with the highest score, wins one of 12 fabulous prizes including Analox analysers and a range of diving goodies donated by Analox’s distributors.

And then the next day begins with a different game and the leader board wiped clean!

Michelle Morley, of Analox Group, commented: “At Analox we all love the festive season, and this year we decided we should share some fun with all our friends. So we’ve created 12 games for the 12 Dives of Christmas. Behind each diving helmet is a different game, play as many times as you like, push your score up and maybe you’ll be one of our winners. But more than anything, we’d love you to have some festive fun with us. Spread the cheer to your friends – just don’t let them beat your score!”

The 12 Dives of Christmas daily festive games can be accessed via www.12dayadvent.com/analox or via analox.net or Analox’s social media channels.

Prizes supplied by Analox include an EII CO carbon monoxide analyser, an O2EII oxygen nitrox analyser, an ATA pro trimix analyser and waterproof MP3 players and Hotel Chocolate Hampers. A number of Analox affiliated distributors have also kindly donated prizes. These include a Mark Powell technical diving book donated by Dive Tech, a rebreather try dive donated by Planet Scuba, and a TDI Advanced Nitrox course donated by Bristol Channel.

All you have to do now is share the link, click on it, and get bashing, chasing, dancing, racing, flying, throwing, catching, bouncing, jumping, memorising, tickling, dancing – and of course trumping! Good luck!

Analox launches new carbon monoxide analyser

Analox Sensor Technology has launched a new Carbon Monoxide (CO) analyser for use by commercial divers.

A number of diving incidents involving Carbon Monoxide (CO) poisoning prompted Analox Sensor Technology to design the new analyser. The EII CO is a compact portable analyser that divers can use to check for CO contamination of their gas prior to diving.

This new analyser has been developed in response to increasing concern about incidents of CO poisoning amongst divers. A small concentration of CO can affect the body, and symptoms can include headache, fatigue, confusion and dizziness. Prolonged exposure could lead to unconsciousness, brain damage or even death.

Simon Lunt, Sales Manager at Analox Sensor Technology, said: “Commercial divers need to be confident that they are taking the appropriate safety precautions before diving. We have responded to the growing concern about carbon monoxide contamination of tanks. Now divers can easily check their gas immediately prior to a dive. The new EII CO is an essential piece of protection.”

The new EII CO is similar in design to the O2EII, but coloured red. It is suitable for air or nitrox diving. Analox Sensor Technology recommends that divers equip themselves with both the EII CO carbon monoxide analyser, and the O2EII oxygen analyser.

For more information about the EII CO or any other products designed for commercial diving, contact Simon Lunt on +44 (0)1642 715924.

TSmarine, SMIT Subsea Seal Diving Services Deal

TSmarine and SMIT Subsea Australia (SMIT), a wholly owned subsidiary of Boskalis, have entered into a long term frame agreement where SMIT will provide diving services to TSmarine.

Under the agreement SMIT will install its new state-of-the-art S4 12-man saturation dive system on TSmarine's multipurpose offshore support vessel REM Etive.

TSmarine CEO John Edwards said the agreement built on the company's capability to service the region's rapidly expanding subsea sector.

"The industry is expecting a surge of developments in Australia and the alliance with SMIT Subsea will position both companies to offer integrated services to our clients," Mr. Edwards said.

"The SMIT Subsea system – which includes a hyperbaric rescue chamber and an onshore hyperbaric reception facility – is capable of working to depths of 300m.

"With the NOPSA-accepted safety case already in place for the vessel, we are confident of building on the REM Etive's already significant track record in Australia and South East Asia."

The REM Etive is a versatile DP2 DSV vessel equipped with onboard work class ROVs and a 140t crane.

With the SMIT dive system installed on the mezzanine deck, the vessel offers more than 500m² of clear back deck space, making it well-suited to subsea construction, inspection maintenance and repair operations for oil and gas projects.

TSmarine's in-house project management and engineering services, supported by SMIT Subsea's diving expertise, will ensure projects are successfully supported, managed and resourced.
